Red Hook Phase II Construction

More progress on the street

Building the trolley line in Red Hook, Phase II. Recent progress  has seen us “spike up” two more  blocks of track. Soon we will  begin bending rails for the  curved sections; the interface  with Phase One and the corner of  Conover Street and Reed  Street.

Using a gage bar to make
sure the distance between rails is constant.

One volunteer is keeping
the tie seated against the rail while the spike is driven home by another.
